A Shield against Tragedies

“ Charity is your Shield ”

Have you ever wondered about your last moments?

Your age. Your time. ⌚The way you would die?

Everyday we read about tragedies around the 🌏world. Freak accidents ☄and instant deaths. Plane crashes, sink holes, 🚨mass shootings, natural 🌋disasters, 🚑car accidents.

Sudden and instant. But do you know that as a Muslim we have a shield to protect us from a tragic ⚡death?

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
( إن الصدقَةَ تُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ، وتَدْفَعُ مِيتَة السُّوءِ )
“Indeed charity 💖extinguishes the Lord’s anger and protects against an ill-fated death.” (Tirmidhi)

Do not wait to do sadaqa. There is no guarantee 🔖you will be here the next day. Or the next year 📆

Allah (جل جلاله) tells us in the quran to take heed :
(وَأَنْفِقُوا مِنْ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ * الْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَا أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ * وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ)،
{ Give from what We have provided for you before death comes to one of you and he says, ‘O Lord, if only you would give me a ⌛little more time so that I can give 💸sadaqa and be one of the righteous.’ Allah will not give anyone more time, once their time has come. Allah is aware of everything you do.”} (63:9-11)

Live in the present for the future may not be 📰what you imagine it to be. The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) warns us:

أبي هريرة -رضي الله عنه- أن رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال: ( بادروا بالأعمال سبعًا، هل تنتظرون إلا فقراً مُنسيًا، أو غنًى مُطغيًا، أو مرضاً مُفسدًا، أو هَرَماً مُفنِّدًا، أو موتاً مُجهِزًا، أو الدجال، فشر غائب ينتظر، أو الساعة، والساعة أدهى وأمر

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, ” Hasten to do good deeds before you are overtaken by one of the 7⃣ afflictions.” Then (giving a warning) he said, “Are you waiting for such 💢poverty which will make you unmindful of devotion; or prosperity ✳which will make you 🚯corrupt, or disease 💉as will disable you, or such senility as will make you 💣mentally unstable, or sudden ⚰death, or Ad-Dajjal who is the worst expected absent, or the Hour, and the Hour will be most grievous and most bitter”[At-Tirmidhi].

Today is a blessing. 🎀 Give generously ⚜for tomorrow may never come.
